GT Software Presents Major Airline Success Story around Mainframe Orchestration and Mobility
GT Software will present, “Sophisticated Mainframe Orchestration for Mobility Takes Flight,” on Tuesday, July 19th at 1 PM Eastern. Co-sponsored by “IBM Systems Magazine: Mainframe Edition,” this hour-long webinar presentation features a customer case study from American Airlines and commentary from IBM.
During the webinar, American Airlines’ Manager of Application Development, Justin Kerchal will describe how easy it was for the airline to streamline the process of maintaining their aircraft fleet via a robust mobile application. With this new application, maintenance technicians can now process work orders and access inventory at the point-of-service via a tablet. In order to build this application, American Airlines used GT Software’s Ivory® Service Architect™ to access mainframe data as APIs, without any additional coding required.
In addition to Kerchal, IBM’s Director of z Systems Software: IMS & TPF, Barry Baker will join the presentation to discuss the growing partnership between IBM and GT Software. Recently, the two organizations have united to provide both IMS and CICS customers an easy way to utilize APIs not only to access mainframe data, but to facilitate the building of new applications.
“We are looking forward to sharing American Airlines’ success story and details about our growing partnership with IBM with the mainframe audience,” stated GT Software Executive Vice President, Bruce Kopkin. “Working with ‘IBM Systems Magazine’ gives us a great platform for outreach, and we always enjoy celebrating our customers’ success.”
