LUMINEX SOFTWARE, INC., the worldwide leader in Modern Mainframe Virtual Tape™ solutions, announced today that it has established LUMINEX Software Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary, in Hong Kong and hired Kee Wing Wong, as Director, Sales and Technical Services for Asia-Pacific. Kee Wing has over 18 years of experience in mainframe storage sales and technical services. Kee Wing's vast industry experience and expertise combined with his knowledge of the Asian-Pacific markets add key capabilities to the LUMINEX team allowing LUMINEX to take full advantage of the rapidly expanding mainframe virtual tape sales opportunities in Asia-Pacific.

Prior to joining Luminex, Kee Wing held positions as a Senior Systems Architect, Senior Manager and Chief Storage Solution Consultant, where he played a critical role in building Oracle's (StorageTek's) mainframe tape and virtual tape business in the region. Now, he will contribute to the on-going success of mainframe customers who implement Modern Mainframe Virtual Tape solutions to reduce or eliminate dependency on physical tape, improve their disaster recovery capabilities and their overall mainframe tape operations.
